Amy Acker

Amy Louise Acker was born in Dallas, Texas on December 5, 1976. Amy studied ballet dancing for thirteen years before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting at Southern Methodist University.

Amy's big break came when she joined the cast of the popular TV series Angel in 2001 as Winifred "Fred" Burkle. She really got a chance to show off her acting prowess when Fred became the ancient god king Illyria in the final season (when you write it out it sounds like extreme shark jumping -- trust me, it was awesome). Amy has also been seen as a regular on the TV series Alias portraying Kelly Peyton, and in the short-lived series Drive. More recently Amy was in another Joss Whedon series, Dollhouse playing the mysterious Dr. Claire Saunders. In April 2010 she can be seen in the new series Happy Town as Rachel Conroy.

Amy has also guest starred on many shows including Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, Private Practice, October Road, and Human Target, and she provided the voice of Huntress in the animated series Justice League Unlimited.

Amy married actor James Carpinello in 2003 and they have two children: son Jackson and daughter Ava.
